Billy Bodin scored in stoppage time to hand Swindon a 2-1 victory after Shrewsbury had looked like getting something from the game with a late equaliser.

The Robins went ahead after seven minutes after a gorgeous double-figures passing move ended up with Aaron Drinan being teed up on the edge of the box to advance and tuck into the far corner.

Will Wright then struck a fierce low free-kick which Elyh Harrison pushed around his post.

Finley Munroe found the lurking Paul Glatzel whose low drive had Harrison go full length to thwart.

At the other end Connor Ripley saved well with his legs to deny Luca Hoole.

In the second half Taylor Perry blasted a rocket which Ripley performed heroics to keep out.

And from the rebound, the Robins raced up the field with Glatzel teeing up the unmarked Drinan who somehow shot over.

Michael Appleton's relegated strugglers looked to have rescued a point in the last minute when Will Boyle's shot from a corner hit Callum Stewart on the back and rolled into the net.

But substitute Bodin coolly swept home three minutes later after being picked out by Gavin Kilkenny to hand Swindon the win.
