Tranmere put midweek defeat to Forest Green firmly behind them as they thrashed Crawley 5-1 at Prenton Park, keeping them well in the play-off pack.
Connor Jennings gave Rovers a 25-minute lead before League Two top scorer James Norwood notched his ninth and 10th goals of the season either side of half-time.
Adam Buxton's penalty and a thunderbolt from Paul Mullin took the tally to five before the visitors pulled back a consolation through Olly Palmer.
Making four changes to his starting line-up, Micky Mellon's men adopted a 4-2-3-1 formation that caused Crawley no end of problems.
Rovers attacked in waves and it was no surprise when Jennings smashed home a Manny Monthe knockdown midway through the first half.
Jennings then set up Norwood for his first before the break and Tranmere's leading marksman headed home an Ollie Banks corner to make it three after 54 minutes.
Tranmere's penalty seemed harsh on the visitors, with Glenn Morris adjudged to have clipped Norwood in the box, but Buxton had little concern as he cannoned it home before Mullin completed the rout.
Stunned Town responded when Palmer volleyed home Lewis Young's cross from close range but they were soundly beaten.
