Tranmere continued their assault on the League Two promotion places by beating Grimsby 4-1 to move to within four points of the top three.
All the goals came in the first half, with Connor Jennings setting Rovers on their way as he flashed a shot across James McKeown and in at the far post from a clever Ollie Banks pass.
That came against the run of play, and Grimsby did equalise when Martyn Woolford fired home the rebound after Scott Davies spectacularly saved Wes Thomas' penalty.
But that was as good as it got for the visitors, who were behind again moments later when Manny Monthe netted from close range.
League Two's top scorer James Norwood then got in on the act with a delicious lob that drifted over the goalkeeper and in at the far post.
And Jennings rounded things off with his second before the break after McKeown spilled Banks' free-kick.
It means Tranmere have registered five Football League wins in a row for the first time since 2003.
