Tranmere's play-off push suffered a setback as they were held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Yeovil for the second time this season.
Defences dominated at Prenton Park, with both goalkeepers also making important second-half saves to keep the game goalless.
Yeovil's top scorer Alex Fisher broke through with 10 minutes left but was denied by a brave stop from Rovers keeper Scott Davies, diving at his feet.
And in stoppage time Glovers keeper Stuart Nelson dived low to his right to keep out a goalbound header from James Norwood.
Tranmere's top scorer Norwood wasted a good early chance when he shot wide from a Jay Harris cross and then saw Yeovil keeper Stuart Nelson keep out his low effort after a mistake from Town defender Gary Warren.
Yeovil winger Jordan Green forced a good save from home keeper Scott Davies with a powerful near post shot while Rovers defender Mark Ellis twice came close from set-pieces.
But it was the Glovers who spurned the best opportunity of the first half as Yoann Arquin shot straight at Davies from six yards just before the break when he looked certain to break the deadlock.
