Richard Keogh's last-gasp goal earned Carlisle a 2-2 draw with Walsall at the Banks' Stadium.

Carlisle hit back twice to earn draw

Carlisle salvaged a 2-2 draw with a goal in the last minute of normal time by big defender Richard Keogh sealing a share of the points after Walsall had twice been ahead at the Banks' Stadium. Keogh scored with a downward header following a pinpoint cross from veteran midfielder Graham Kavanagh in the 90th minute. But Carlisle are still looking for a win after five league games without success, and they will curse missing some good chances in the first half. Walsall took the lead on 33 minutes, Darren Byfield driving home his third goal of the season after good work by Dwayne Mattis and Matt Richards, but a minute from half-time Matt Robson made amends for an earlier miss with a cracking left-foot strike to bring the Cumbrians level. The Saddlers restored their lead on 74 minutes with Troy Deeney hitting a post with a rising drive and substitute Steve Jones on the spot to net his second goal for the club.
