      A young Hull side ran out 2-1 winners against Winterton Rangers in a pre-season friendly on Monday night.

      A young Hull City side ran out 2-1 winners against Winterton Rangers in a pre-season friendly on Monday night. First-half goals from Danny Emerton and Gavan Holohan were enough to see the Tigers to victory. The success came on the day that Hull secured the signings of midfield duo Nolberto Solano and James Harper. Hull were relegated from the Premier League in 2009/10 and are therefore preparing for the start of the new Championship season. The Tigers, now under the management of Nigel Pearson, begin their campaign at home to Swansea on 7th August.
