Highlights of Norwich's 2-1 win over Wolves from the Sky Bet Championship.

Cameron Jerome and Robbie Brady twice combined to give Norwich a 2-1 victory over Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.

The Canaries took the lead in the second minute when Jerome outmuscled Wolves captain Danny Batth to head home a deep Brady cross.

Jerome turned provider in the 72nd minute when he teed up Brady to unleash a sublime bending shot from 25 yards that sailed past Carl Ikeme and into the top corner.

Dave Edwards pulled one back for Wolves with a towering header into the bottom corner from a Matt Doherty cross.

The goal spurred Walter Zenga's side to press for an equaliser but Norwich held on to claim all three points and go second in the Championship behind Huddersfield. Defeat leaves Wolves in 12th place.

Alex Neil said before the game that his side must forget their painful last-gasp defeat at the hands of Newcastle on Wednesday.

His side appeared to heed the advice as they flew out of the traps at Molineux and found themselves in front with only one minute and 44 seconds on the clock.

The home side gradually found their way into the game and threatened with the pace of Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Joao Teixeira. But it was Norwich who should have doubled their advantage through Jacob Murphy.

The midfielder was slid the ball by Wes Hoolahan after good work down the left by Alexander Tettey but he side-footed the ball into Ikeme when he had the goal at his mercy.

Wolves improved after the interval and could have drawn level had Teixeira kept his footing when it mattered most in the Norwich area. Their growing influence though came to a stunning end when Brady curled in for his first goal of the season to make it 2-0.

Zenga threw caution to the wind and saw one silver lining with the return of Nouha Dicko, who came on as second-half substitute to make his first appearance after a knee injury sidelined him for a year.

The striker should have had a dream return too when the impressive Cavaleiro found him six yards from goal only for Dicko to squander the chance after taking one too many touches.

Edwards halved the deficit with 10 minutes to go after Doherty stood up a cross into the packed Norwich box but the visitors - led by man of the match Timm Klose - were able to defy waves of Wolves attacks to hold on for all three points.

Wolves manager Walter Zenga:

"I think we didn't deserve to lose the game. In my opinion we deserved more than zero. We played a very good game for all of the game. But this is football. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

"Norwich scored two goals and we only scored one. That was why we lost. I think our performance was very good. Don't forget that before it was 2-0 we had a great chance to score and the game could have changed. But we didn't score."

Norwich manager Alex Neil:

"I am delighted. A lot was made of the game in the week and a lot was said about how we were going to respond. It was nice to come here and put three points on the board and I thought we deserved the win.

"We conceded a sloppy goal and that was disappointing for us. At that point you are looking for players to stand up and show the character that they have got and I thought the boys did that in spades so I was really pleased.

"The early goal was also important as it settled the nerves and they gave everything that they have got. I am really delighted with the team. We are second in the table and I think we can really kick on from here.

"As long as at Christmas time we are there or thereabouts it is what you do from that point onwards that will really dictate if you have a chance of going up and certainly the last time we were at this level our record from that point was great."
