Leaders Wycombe held at home

Manny Panther's bizarre second-half goal earned Exeter a deserved 1-1 draw at runaway leaders Wycombe. The Grecians midfielder did not know a lot about his 57th-minute effort as Leon Johnson's clearance hit him in the chest and flew past Scott Shearer to cancel out Matt Harrold's early penalty. Wycombe had a dream start and went ahead in the fourth minute as a sweeping move ended with Harrold being fouled in the box by Exeter skipper Danny Seaborne, but the Chairboys' leading scorer picked himself up to convert the spot-kick for his ninth goal of the season. The former Southend striker could have added a second eight minutes later but he fired straight at Paul Jones when well placed. The Grecians should have been level at the break when Ryan Harley somehow blazed wide with just Shearer to beat. Adam Stansfield wasted another great chance to equalise soon after the break but Paul Tisdale's men deservedly drew level. Matt Gills long throw into the box caused havoc and Johnson's attempted clearance struck Panther and beat Shearer. Angelo Balanta thought he had claimed a winner when his corner seemed to cross the line but Jones got back to claw clear and Exeter held on for the draw.
