Wycombe striker Matt Harrold wasted two good chances in the first-half, having an effort smothered by Frank Fielding after John Akinde's effort came loose, before taking too much time to get a shot away after charging down a clearance from the goalkeeper.
Rochdale were the better side, though, and could have scored prior to half-time when Mark Jones' powerful curling effort brought a fine save out of Marek Stech.
Substitute Rundle then drew another good save from Stech after his powerful run saw him surge into the area.
Le Fondre then kept his cool under pressure to convert Rundle's cross to earn the win.
