Wycombe and Southend are still searching for their first win of the season after a 1-1 draw at Adams Park.
Matt Harrold opened his account for the campaign to put Wanderers ahead in the 40th minute but Jean-Francois Christophe's bullet header on the stroke of half-time earned the Shrimpers their third successive draw.
Southend started brightly and the unmarked Christophe headed Simon Francis' free-kick into the side-netting in only the second minute.
Wycombe improved as the half wore on and Harrold put them ahead, atoning for his earlier miss when he failed to connect with Matt Phillips' cross from seven yards.
The 25-year-old striker rose above a static visiting defence to head Phillips' corner past goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall from 10 yards.
Equaliser
But Christophe was left unmarked again to equalise for Southend in first-half stoppage time, converting a 12-yard header from Francis' cross following Franck Moussa's short corner.
The Shrimpers piled forward after the break but Dougie Freedman somehow headed Moussa's corner over the bar from three yards.
Fellow striker Lee Barnard then blazed badly over from close range at the death as Wycombe hung on for their first point of the season.
