The 39-year-old provided a stunning reminder of his ability from dead-ball situations while playing for new side Phoenix Rising in their match against LA Galaxy reserves on Saturday.
After being awarded a free-kick 35-yards from goal in the 13th minute, Drogba unleashed a blistering shot that nestled into the top corner of the net.
The Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend celebrated with a customary knee slide before being mobbed by his team-mates, who include former Premier League players Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jordan Stewart.
Drogba - a Premier League and Champions League winner with Chelsea - joined Phoenix in April as a player and also as a co-owner.
