Winger Jordan Clark will sit out Accrington's Sky Bet League One clash with high-flying Sunderland on Wednesday evening.
Clark picked up his 10th booking of the season in the 5-2 defeat at Burton on March 23 and having missed Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Fleetwood, will complete a two-game suspension when the Black Cats come calling.
Manager John Coleman made five changes at the weekend, with Seamus Conneely and Ross Sykes both back for the first time since the 2-2 draw at Sunderland on February 15. Stanley sit in 18th place, just two points clear of the drop zone, although they have two games in hand on all but one of the sides below them.
Sunderland will be without skipper George Honeyman as he completes a three-match ban following his dismissal at Wycombe on March 9. Manager Jack Ross will run the rule over a series of players carrying knocks following the club's heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat by Portsmouth in Sunday's Checkatrade Trophy final.
Striker Will Grigg has been nursing an ankle injury for some time and he will be assessed after managing 77 minutes at Wembley, while loan signing Kazaiah Sterling, who was ineligible at the weekend, returns to contention. However, full-back Adam Matthews is out with a recurrence of a hamstring problem and joins Donald Love, Chris Maguire and Duncan Watmore on the sidelines.
The reverse fixture was drawn 2-2 at the Stadium of Light in February. Accrington were leading 2-0 before George Honeyman and Aiden McGeady rescued a point for the Black Cats.
Accrington Stanley have lost five of their last six games in League One (W1).
Sunderland are unbeaten in seven away games (W2 D5) since falling 1-3 to Portsmouth in December.
Accrington have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 10 games in the League One (19 goals conceded), keeping two in three games before this run.
Sunderland have gained 23 points from losing positions this season, more than any other side in the division.
