Padraig Amond bagged his third goal in two games as Accrington won 2-0 at AFC Wimbledon to claim their first away win of the season.
Amond, on loan from Portuguese side FC Pacos de Ferreira, pounced after just three minutes before Craig Lindfield doubled the lead to hand Stanley a 2-0 triumph - their first win on the road this term in 10 attempts. Amond stunned Kingsmeadow with only three minutes gone, tapping in Bryan Hughes' low cross at the far post to follow on from his brace off the bench against Dagenham & Redbridge two weeks ago. And the Dons did not learn their lesson, conceding a carbon copy after 24 minutes as the unmarked Lindfield tucked home Dean Winnard's centre from close range. After the break Accrington were content to protect their lead but should have extended it - Dons goalkeeper Brown saving well from Jayden Stockley and Amond after a melee in the home area just before the hour. Substitute Brendan Kiernan finally brought the home faithful to life with a curling effort from the edge of the box on 87 minutes but Ian Dunbavin did well to save, leaving the Dons winless in eight.
