Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between AFC Wimbledon and Peterborough.

Peterborough missed out on the chance to move into the League One play-off places after Wimbledon came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

The Dons took the lead after just 36 seconds as Lyle Taylor picked up the ball on the edge of the box and lashed a shot low past Jonathan Bond - the second fastest goal in the league this season.

But Posh made a fine response and were level after 26 minutes as Daniel Lloyd flicked Marcus Maddison's free-kick in off the post. Grant McCann's side then took the lead through Maddison's penalty but the Dons responded before the interval through Cody McDonald.

Wimbledon move up to 21st position but they remain in the bottom four while Peterborough rise to eighth, a point outside the play-off places.

The hosts came into the game off the back of two straight league defeats, but they made the perfect start as Taylor struck his sixth goal in as many games with less than a minute on the clock.

The 27-year-old collected a pass from Harry Forrester on the right and drove at the Peterborough defence before firing low to the right of Bond and into the net.

But the visitors were not flustered by the early setback and deserved their equaliser as Lloyd rose to flick Maddison's free-kick into the net, although the ball deflected off the head of Barry Fuller on its way in off the far post.

Wimbledon were on the back foot and conceded a penalty 12 minutes later as referee Darren Handley was in the perfect place to see Tom Soares foul Maddison just inside the box, and it was the winger who dusted himself down to calmly slot his spot-kick low to the left of George Long.

Lyle Taylor and Danny Lloyd say both AFC Wimbledon and Peterborough will be happy with the point following their 2-2 draw.

But then it was the home side's turn to reveal their powers of recovery as McDonald raced in between Steven Taylor and Jack Baldwin to latch onto Deji Oshilaja's long ball and fire his shot beyond Bond.

It was Peterborough who enjoyed the better chances in the second period with Maddison going close with a long-range effort before he turned provider for Jack Marriott, but the in-form striker could only head over with the goal at his mercy.

Peterborough's Maddison seemed to make a meal out of a tussle with Liam Trotter

The mercurial Maddison was the most dangerous player on the pitch, but he failed to cover himself in glory after going to ground when brushing foreheads with Liam Trotter in an angry exchange which resulted in both receiving a yellow card.

Gwion Edwards very nearly won it for Posh with four minutes remaining but the winger was denied by a superb last-ditch challenge from Oshilja as the points were shared.
