Former Celtic striker Maciej Zurawski scored the only goal of the game in just the third minute in front of a sparse crowd of under 3,000 supporters. Poland suffered an injury scare with this summer's tournament in Austria and Switzerland just days away when Michal Zewlakow was forced off the field with just nine minutes on the clock. Leo Beenhaaker's side open their European Championship campaign with a testing meeting against Germany on 8th June. Their other opponents in Group B are co-hosts Austria and England's qualification nemesis Croatia.
