      Anderlecht will take on Uefa Cup favourites Bayern Munich in the last 16 after defeating nine-man Bordeaux 3-2 on aggregate. The Belgian side held a narrow 2-1 away lead from the first leg and this showed as the first half began in even style. Neither side were capable of finding an opener and Anderlecht's Jan Polak was guilty of wasting a good free-kick as he blasted into the wall. However, Anderlecht were not forced to wait long after Polak's failure as Thomas Chatelle struck nine minutes before the break. Bordeaux, though, set up a nervy finish as Fernando Cavenaghi fired in an equaliser on the night on 71 minutes. The French side, however, were then reduced to 10-men as Benoit Tremoulinas was shown a straight red card for a professional foul on Anderlecht's Guillaume Gillet. And Bordeaux's misery was then compounded as Mathieu Chalme received two bookings in the space of five minutes to send his side down to nine-men.
