Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Charlton and Walsall.

Karlan Grant and Lyle Taylor were on the scoresheet as Charlton boosted their play-off ambitions with a 2-1 victory over Walsall.

The Addicks took the lead after just six minutes when Grant scored his 12th goal of the season, poking the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Liam Roberts following superb work by Tariq Fosu.

Lee Bowyer's side extended their lead three minutes later when Taylor was impeded by Jack Fitzwater in the penalty area before dispatching the subsequent spot-kick past Roberts.

It took until the 41st minute for Walsall to trouble the Charlton defence when Josh Gordon's goal-bound effort was brilliantly kept out on the line by Naby Sarr.

They did manage to get back into the game a minute after the break when Andy Cook turned and finished with a neat left-footed shot past Dillon Phillips.

The Saddlers striker then came close to an equaliser midway through the second half with a powerful effort that just evaded the post.
