Struggling MK Dons beat play-off chasers Portsmouth 3-1 to move level on points with Tranmere either side of the survival line.
First-half goals from Rhys Healey and Conor McGrandles had Russell Martin's men on their way, before Alex Gilbey added a late third and Pompey's Ronan Curtis tapped home a consolation at the death.
