Millwall have signed Shane Ferguson on a permanent deal from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old Northern Ireland international, who can operate at left-back or on the left wing, is understood to have signed an 18-month contract with the Lions.
Ferguson moved to the Sky Bet League 1 side on loan in August and has started 17 games for them so far as well as making a further 11 appearances from the substitutes' bench.
He previously had two loan spells with Birmingham City and also went on loan to Rangers towards the end of last season.
Ferguson has made 22 appearances for Northern Ireland but was unable to break into the Newcastle first team on a regular basis and started only seven Premier League games for the Magpies after joining them as a trainee in 2009.
"I've been keen to get everything sorted and I'm now really looking forward to my future with Millwall," Ferguson told Miillwall's official website.
"I've loved every second of my time here so it was a no-brainer to sign on a permanent basis. My task now is to help Millwall get back where we belong, which hopefully can be done this season."
Boss Neil Harris added: "Shane has displayed his ability in two different positions for us since he joined on loan, so naturally I'm delighted that he is now with us on a permanent basis.
"He has shown a real desire to stay here and is of an age where he needs to be playing football regularly for the sake of his own development, and we have given him that opportunity. I believe that it is a fantastic piece of business and I would like to thank the board for given me the opportunity to buy a player of Shane's quality and age."
