Sevilla set to complete Joaquin Correa transfer from Sampdoria

Sevilla are set to sign Sampdoria midfielder Joaquin Correa on a five-year deal.

The 21-year-old will undergo a medical on Monday with the La Liga side before being unveiled by the Rojiblancos.

The Argentinian only joined Sampdoria from Estudiantes in December 2014 and made a total of 31 Serie A appearances, scoring three goals.

A statement on Sevilla's official website read: "Sevilla FC and UC Sampdoria have reached an agreement, in the absence of documents and a mandatory medical examination, for the signing of Joaquin Correa, who will sign a contract for the next five seasons."

The fee for Correa is reported to be 13m euros (£11.1m), with another 5m euros (£4.27m) due in bonuses.
