Barrie McKay has undergone a medical with Nottingham Forest ahead of his transfer from Rangers, according to Sky sources.

The 22-year-old, who was entering the final year of his contract at Ibrox after he reportedly refused to sign a new deal, will be reunited with former Gers boss Mark Warburton at Nottingham Forest.

McKay was at the City Ground on Tuesday to complete his medical.

Once the deal goes through, McKay is expected to jet out to the USA to join his new team-mates, who are currently in Florida on a pre-season training camp.

It is understood that McKay was recently told to train with the Rangers U20s by manager Pedro Caixinha, and was not included in the squads for either leg of their Europa League qualifier with Progres Niederkorn.

McKay, who has been capped once for Scotland, was reportedly the subject of interest from RB Leipzig in January and made 46 appearances for Rangers last season.
