Jonny Williams reveals his journey from Wales' training camp to Sunderland on Deadline Day

Jonny Williams completed a Deadline Day loan switch to Sunderland from Crystal Palace.

The Wales international was given permission to leave Chris Coleman's squad ahead of the crucial World Cup Qualifier against Austria in order to complete his move to the North East.

Williams was then due to drive back to Cardiff through the night to join up with the Wales squad for training in the morning.

The 23-year-old, who has 17 caps for Wales and represented the national team at Euro 2016, spent the majority of last season on loan at fellow Sky Bet Championship side Ipswich.
