Fabian Orellana has expressed his delight after agreeing a deal with Udinese.
The Chilean striker has made his name at homeland club Audax Italiano over the past few years, but his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Udinese have been keeping tabs on his progress and have now swooped to bring him in on a five-year contract.
Orellana is excited about the switch but remains grateful to Audax for all they have done to support him.
"I am very happy with my transfer to Udinese and the chance to play in Europe," the 21-year-old told Radio Agricultura.
"This is something that I have been waiting for since some time ago. I am very happy also for my family because this is good for all of us.
"During the first six months of this year I had several problems but now thanks to God everything has finished in the best way.
"I want to thank to Audax for giving me my debut in the first division and it is thanks to this team that I am also playing in the Chilean national team."
