Sheffield United have confirmed the sale of midfielder David Carney to Dutch side FC Twente.
The 25-year-old Australia international has struggled to break into the starting line-up since arriving at Bramall Lane from his home country in 2007.
He was loaned out to Norwich towards the end of last season but now makes a permanent move away from United.
Carney, who will link up with former England manager Steve McClaren in Holland, is set complete a medical at Twente on Thursday.
The Blades have also offloaded goalkeeper Justin Haber to Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
The 28-year-old Maltese shot-stopper came to United at the beginning of last season but did not manage to make a single competitive appearance under Kevin Blackwell.
