Croatia midfielder moves to Germany
Cologne have sealed the loan signing of Croatia midfielder Mato Jajalo on a one-year deal from Siena.
The Croatian Under-21 captain played 25 matches in Serie A last season, but the club were relegated back to the second tier of Italian football.
The 22-year-old's move was praised by cologne general manager Michael Meier, who felt he would be a good acquisition for the Goats.
"Mato Jajalo is a valuable addition for us," said Meier.
"He is very versatile across the midfield and has a good technique and is very comfortable on the ball.
"Furthermore, he has an excellent vision. Mato will settle in quickly because he is competent with the German language. He spent more than eight years of his youth in Germany."
