Kieron Dyer has completed his move to Middlesbrough and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to former club Ipswich.
The 34-year-old, who was released by QPR, has signed a short-term deal with Boro and could make his debut at Portman Road.
A Boro statement said: "Former England midfielder Kieron Dyer is in Boro's squad for Saturday's trip to the club where he began his career, Ipswich Town.
"The 34-year-old has signed a four-month deal at the Riverside and [manager] Tony Mowbray believes his talent and versatility could prove invaluable in the months ahead. He has been given the squad number 12."
