Peter Odemwingie joined Kammy and Ben Shephard on Goals on Sunday insisting that his deadline day drama hasn’t defined his career

Peter Odemwingie has been speaking about his Transfer Deadline Day saga from 2013 as he appeared on Goals on Sunday.

The striker - who now plays his football with Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham United - made the trip from West Brom to west London as he thought he was signing with Queens Park Rangers.

He was captured by Sky Sports cameras and fans arriving outside Loftus Road, saying he was expecting to be a Hoops players by the end of Transfer Deadline Day in January 2013.

However, the move did not materialise and Odemwingie returned to the Hawthorns to face his club. He was given a disciplinary and issued a public apology before resuming training, but eventually moved to Cardiff City that summer after relations with the Baggies broke down.

Appearing on Goals on Sunday, the Nigeria international discusses how the incident affected his career and his own view on how the day developed.
