Neil Ashton was joined by Sam Wallace, Andy Dunn and Shaun Custis on the Sunday Supplement this weekend.
The panel started the show by paying tribute to former Watford and England manager Graham Taylor, who died at the age of 72 on Thursday.
They then discussed player power in relation to the situations of Diego Costa and Dimitri Payet at Chelsea and West Ham respectively.
The Telegraph’s Wallace thinks Payet might have regrets in the future if he does leave the Hammers.
“It’s sad, and when I see ex-players as they get older they really value that relationship with the fans and it means something,” he said.
“It’s a wonderful thing to have for the rest of your life and I don’t think these young men sometimes understand what they are chucking away and maybe 10-15 years down the road he will realise that."
Among the other topics of discussion were Crystal Palace, Swansea and Hull, Man Utd v Liverpool and Tottenham's title chances.
