Tottenham to play friendly in Hong Kong following Premier League season

Tottenham will fly to Asia following the conclusion of the Premier League season to play a friendly against Hong Kong champions Kitchee.

Spurs end their league campaign away at relegation-threatened Hull City on May 21, but will face Kitchee five days later at the Hong Kong Stadium.

The game will be part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the return of the former British colony to Chinese rule.

"We are delighted to accept the invitation to return to Hong Kong to play against one of their top clubs Kitchee SC and play our part in the anniversary celebrations," Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino told the club's website.

"We are aware of our growing popularity across Asia. This latest visit represents a great chance for us to engage with our loyal fans in the region and thank them for their fantastic support and the commitment they make to watching us at any hour of the day or night."

Tottenham are yet to comment on the strength of the squad that will form the travelling party, with a number of players set to be involved in international fixtures in June.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Kyle Walker are set to be involved in England's World Cup Qualifier against Scotland on June 10 and friendly with Hugo Lloris' France on June 13.
