Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler has emerged as a Manchester United target. The 20-year-old signed a new deal with the La Liga club in May until June 2021, with a buyout clause of €80m (£71.2m). United would not be willing to trigger that clause, but are said to be interested in making a bid of around £30m for a player who made his professional debut less than a year ago. (Marca)
Real Madrid were the big winners at FIFA's The Best awards on Monday night. Real Sociedad boss Eusebio Sacristan has said that interest in Alvaro Odriozola is 'inevitable' given his impressive form. "It is inevitable that there are teams who will look at him and be interested," Eusebio said. (Marca)

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has refused to rule out a move for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho. The La Liga side chased the Brazilian playmaker all summer and, although they signed Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, they are expected to return with a bid in January. "Coutinho? If we do sign some players in the future," Valverde said. "I would like it to be done quietly. We do not want it to be everywhere in the media like last summer." (Calciomercato)
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte insists that he does not fear the sack at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are fourth in the Premier League table, nine points behind leaders Manchester City after an indifferent start which has seen them lose three times.
However, Conte - who led Chelsea to the league title in May - is not fretting over his future. "I understand that the club has to evaluate my performances but sincerely I am not worried about getting sacked if I lose a game for example," he said. (Calciomercato)
AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci has apologised to his team-mates after his red card in the 0-0 draw with Genoa. Bayern Munich turned down the chance to sign Naby Keita after expressing doubts over his ability to thrive at the club. Keita has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's finest midfielders after an outstanding season last year with RB Leipzig.
