Huddersfield owner Dean Hoyle spent the night sleeping at the John Smith’s Stadium

Huddersfield owner Dean Hoyle has spent the night sleeping alongside the club's supporters at the John Smith's Stadium in order to raise awareness for the homeless.

Hoyle took part in The Big Sleep Out, which challenges regular members of the public to spend one night outside in order to raise money for homeless charities.

"I've never been woken up by Sky Sports like this! I feel quite rough actually - I can't believe how many people snore," Hoyle joked.

"We have raised well over £30,000 which is a fantastic effort for homeless people and homeless charities.

"We're not experts in this field, there's a lot of problems, but we can give money to people who really know what they are doing.

"It has been tough, it was really cold last night, but it is a small price to pay for something really good."
