Every manager loves a utility player who can perform in a range of roles across the pitch. But which Premier League player offers the most flexibility?
With the help of WhoScored.com, we've looked back at the playing positions logged by Opta for each Premier League player since the start of the 2017/18 season.
Read on to see which current Premier League players have featured in the most different positions…
Ryan Fraser, Bournemouth - nine different positions
Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser has been the Premier League's top utility player since August 2017. The Scotland international is usually a winger but has been used in a variety of positions by boss Eddie Howe - ranging from right-back to attacking midfield and wide forward positions.
Marc Albrighton, Leicester - eight different positions
Leicester's Marc Albrighton has contributed all over the pitch for the Foxes in the past 14 months. From right-back to wide left forward, the Premier League title winner has been used across the field. His two starts for the club this season have come in attacking midfield positions on the right and left flanks.
Marko Arnautovic, West Ham - eight different positions
Marko Arnautovic was West Ham's top scorer last season and is leading their standings this term, too - but that doesn't mean he's been used exclusively up front. Instead, the Austrian has had to fill in across the front line, behind the striker and also in wide midfield and attacking midfield positions since joining the London Stadium side.
Michail Antonio, West Ham - eight different positions
Arnautovic's team-mate Michail Antonio has also been used in eight different positions since the start of last season - and has gained something of a reputation for being used all over the pitch. Since last August, he has played in positions as varied as left wing-back and striker.
Seven different positions
There are three current Premier League players who have been used in seven different positions by their managers since the start of last season. Arsenal's Alex Iwobi has played in various attacking roles across the pitch, while former Gunner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured from wing-back to central midfield for Liverpool.
His team-mate Sadio Mane has also been asked to take on a range of positions, from his more familiar wide forward positions to more traditional wide midfield positions - on both flanks.
