As Stoke add another Champions League winner to their squad, here’s your club-by-club guide to who’s won what.
Stoke’s signing of Xherdan Shaqiri means the Potters have added a FIFTH Champions League winner to their squad for the coming season.
Shaqiri was part of the Bayern Munich squad that won the trophy in 2013 and would join Ibrahim Afellay, Marko Arnautovic, Bojan Krkic and Marc Muniesa among the medal winners at Stoke.
But how many players at the other 19 Premier League clubs are there who can claim to have got their hands on the biggest prize in European club football?
Incredibly, Shaqiri’s arrival would mean there are as many Champions League winners at the Britannia Stadium as there are at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City combined.
However, Mark Hughes’ men would not be top of the pile. Chelsea and Manchester United can each boast six Champions League winners within their squad.
The Chelsea six of John Terry, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Ramires, John Obi Mikel, Oriol Romeu were all part of the Blues squad that lifted the trophy in 2012.
Juan Mata was also in that squad but is now one of United’s winners along with Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney who were part of their 2008 Champions League winning team, with Jonny Evans also featuring that season. Victor Valdes won with Barcelona and Bastian Schweinsteiger with Bayern.
Elsewhere, there are more Champions League winners at West Brom than Tottenham, while only four squads can claim more medal holders than Sunderland.
