Jaap Stam's combined 1999/2008 Manchester United XI: How does your line-up compare?
Select your combined XI from United's two Champions League-winning squads

Jaap Stam has picked his combined Manchester United XI based on the club's two Champions League-winning squads. Do you agree? Select your own team below...
The combined XI features nine players from United's treble-winning squad from 1999, though there was no room for current caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who scored their famous winner in the 2-1 Champions League final win over Bayern Munich.
As well including himself, Stam - who will feature in Sunday's Transfer Talk Special podcast - selected Peter Schmeichel, Gary Neville, Denis Irwin, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Dwight Yorke from the 1999 squad.
Such was Neville, Scholes and Giggs' longevity at United, that they tasted Champions League glory again nine years later, although Neville missed the majority of the 2007-08 season through injury.
Joining the trio in Stam's XI from the 2008 squad - which also won the Premier League - are defender Rio Ferdinand and now five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who won his first of five European Cups to date under Sir Alex Ferguson.
But do you think Edwin van der Sar warrants a place over Schmeichel? Should Nemanja Vidic count himself unlucky? And what about Wayne Rooney?
Use our team selector below to pick your combined United XI from the 1999 and 2008 squads, then share your line-up with @SkySportsPL and your friends on social media...
