Chelsea loanees with the chance to win a league title this season

Chelsea players

While Chelsea sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table, we look at four of their players out on loan who are closing in on league titles.

The Blues currently have 29 players out on loan, with their talent employed across the globe.

We've picked out four players who look to be in with the best chance of winning a league title away from the Premier League holders.

Matej Delac - FK Sarajevo

Delac joined Chelsea in 2010 but is yet to make a start. The Bosnian goalkeeper has spent time out on loan at eight different clubs and is currently with FK Sarajevo for a second time. The 21-year-old rejoined the club in August 2015, after helping them win the Bosnian top-flight last season.

Now 18 matches into the current 36-game season, Delac's team are fifth in the league, six points off the top.

Can Chelsea pull off a remarkable run and finish in the top four?

A first-place finish means a Champions League qualifying spot would be guaranteed, so there is plenty of motivation for Delac to keep impressing, especially after signing a four-year contract with Chelsea last September.

Kalas is currently enjoying his second season-long loan spell in a row at Championship side Middlesbrough, after losing in the play-off final against Norwich last season.

The defender could be part of a team automatically promoted to the Premier League this time around - Middlesbrough are in second place and just one point behind Hull with a game in hand.

However, Kalas has found first-team opportunities limited recently, featuring mainly as a substitute.

Juan Cuadrado - Juventus

Cuadrado is part of the Juventus team that are second in Serie A and two points off an impressive Napoli side.

The Colombia international - a £26.8m signing from Fiorentina in 2015 - has scored twice in 26 appearances for Juventus and has registered four assists, which puts him level with team-mate Paul Pogba in that standing and three behind the club's assist-leader Paulo Dybala.

Chalobah, playing for Serie A leaders Napoli, is the best-placed of all Chelsea loanees to win a league title.

After loan spells at Watford, Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Reading, the England U21 midfielder is now in the south of Italy with Napoli, where he is playing and training alongside Gonzalo Higuain, Marek Hamsik and Dries Mertens.

Napoli are two points clear at the top of the table, although Chalobah has made just two league appearances since his summer move to Naples.
