Porto's youngsters have been crowned Europe's best by beating Chelsea 3-1 in the UEFA Youth League final.

Defeat means Chelsea's U19 side have finished as runners-up for the second straight year after winning the competition in 2015 and 2016.

Chelsea, who eliminated defending champions Barcelona in the semi-finals on Friday, made a bright start in Switzerland but all their good work was undone when Fabio Vieira scored Porto's opening goal in the 18th minute.

The Blues had two good opportunities to level before the break but neither Luke McCormick nor Conor Gallagher could bring the English side level.

Joe Edwards' side did equalise straight after the break when Netherlands youth international Daishawn Redan scored his fifth Youth League goal of the season, heading home Juan Castillo's cross.

However, Porto restored their advantage two minutes later when defender Diogo Queiros bundled the ball over the line from close range
