Liverpool have reached an agreement with Roma's Mohamed Salah with the Italian club asking for a £30.4m fee, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Egyptian, 24, has enjoyed an impressive couple of campaigns in the Italian capital, having enjoyed a loan spell last season before joined permanently from Chelsea last summer.

However, the Daily Mail claim that no such move has been agreed, and the Reds have had a £28m bid for him rejected.

While the Daily Mirror reports that Southampton have slapped a £70m price tag on Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk.

The Saints captain, 25, is also a target for Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea according to the paper, despite signing a new long-term deal last summer.
