Portsmouth could give Lloyd Isgrove his debut in the Sky Bet League One clash with Bristol Rovers at Fratton Park on Tuesday night.
Midfielder Isgrove joined on loan from Barnsley before the transfer window closed but a knee injury has meant he is yet to make an appearance for Pompey.
Nathan Thompson remains unavailable for manager Kenny Jackett after he sustained an injury to his knee in training and is set to be out for another week.
New signing Omar Bogle has been struggling with cramp in recent matches and it remains to be seen if the striker starts.
Stuart Sinclair could feature for Bristol Rovers for the first time since New Year's Day.
The midfielder struggled with a concussion in January and was an unused substitute against Shrewsbury on February 9.
Rovers have won one of their last five matches and boss Graham Coughlan will be expecting a good performance against the promotion hopefuls.
He told the Pirates' website: "It's going to be a mammoth task, it's a big week for us. But it's one we're looking forward to."
