Kieran Trippier has withdrawn from the England squad for the matches against the USA and Croatia with a groin injury.

The right-back suffered the injury during Tottenham's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Trippier arrived at St George's Park on Monday and was assessed during the last 24 hours.

Kieran Trippier was injured during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park on November 10, 2018 in London, United Kingdom.

However, it was decided it would be best if he returned to Spurs for rehabilitation rather than remain with the England squad.

Trippier has 16 England caps and was a key member of the side that memorably reached the World Cup semi-finals in the summer.
