European Paper Talk: Real Madrid reach agreement with Christian Eriksen

Spain

Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen over a move to the Bernabeu this summer. But the La Liga side haven't yet submitted an offer to Spurs for the Danish midfielder, who will cost over £100m. (AS)

Also on Real's summer wishlist is Lyon full-back Ferland Mendy. Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of the 23-year-old, who could become the long-term heir to Marcelo in the Spanish capital. (Marca)

Mino Raiola wants Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt to join Bayern Munich, Juventus or Manchester United. However, the young centre-back prefers a move to Barcelona and the La Liga champions remain the favourites to land his signing. (Mundo Deportivo)

Achraf Hakimi admits he would be keen to return to Real Madrid this summer despite having another year remaining on his loan deal at Borussia Dortmund. "It would be a dream to return to Madrid as soon as possible. I would be lying if I said something else." (Vamos)

Italy

PSV manager Mark van Bommel is on the shortlist to replace Gennaro Gattuso at Milan. The Dutchman supposedly told the club he would one day return as a coach when he left in 2012. (La Repubblica)

Napoli have agreed a £17m deal with Fiorentina for former Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout. The 26-year-old has impressed in Serie A since arriving in the summer of 2017. (Il Mattino)

Germany

Bayern Munich will have to spend around £200m to land their top targets this summer. RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi would cost around £40m while Bayer Leverkusen want over £100m for midfielder Kai Havertz. (Sport Bild)

The Bundesliga giants are also considering Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as a future coach after his excellent work with Ajax in this season's Champions League. (Sport Bild)

Milan, Inter, Roma and Lazio are all interested in Schalke winger Daniel Caligiuri. The 31-year-old midfielder has scored five goals and claimed seven assists for the Bundesliga strugglers this term. (Bild)

France

Paris Saint-Germain have started talks with the representatives of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek over a potential move to the French capital. The Dutch club would demand around £50m for the 22-year-old. (Canal+)

Lyon will launch a move for Watford winger Dodi Lukebakio this summer. The Belgian has starred on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf and has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. (France Football)
