Tottenham defender Eric Dier says he is determined to score more goals this season, after netting his first of the campaign against Stoke on Saturday.

Dier's header during the 2-2 draw meant he became the first player since Darren Anderton to score the club's first goal of the season in successive campaigns.

The 21-year old scored just twice last season after netting against West Ham on the opening day and again a week later against Queens Park Rangers.

"Last season I was disappointed because I scored the two early goals and didn't score again," Dier told the club website.

"This season, I want to score more goals. I know if I keep playing in midfield and keep doing well I'll hopefully have more chances.
