Ched Evans set to join Sheffield United from Chesterfield

Ched Evans has completed a medical at Sheffield United ahead of his proposed move from local rivals Chesterfield, according to Sky sources.
Sky Sports News HQ understands a deal of more than £500,000 is expected to be completed early next week.
Sky sources reported last week that the clubs were in talks over the transfer of the 28-year-old striker back to his former club.
Evans was released by Sheffield United after he was convicted of rape in 2012.
That conviction was quashed by the Court of Appeal last April and he was found not guilty at a retrial in October. He had served two-and-a-half years of a five-year prison sentence.
The Blades wanted to resign Evans after his release from prison in 2014 and he nearly trained with the club after a request from the PFA.
But United ultimately pulled the plug on the arrangement after a volume of criticism and a string of club patrons resigned.
Evans was a Sheffield United player from 2009 to 2012 after a £3m move from Manchester City and he scored 48 goals in over 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club.
