David Brooks enhanced his growing reputation with a sensational solo goal in Sheffield United's 2-1 pre-season win at Chesterfield on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a summer switch to Premier League side Everton in recent weeks after impressing for England at the U20 Toulon Tournament.
Brooks was named the player of the tournament as England were crowned champions and he showed no signs slowing down ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season.
After collecting the ball midway inside his own half, and with the score locked at 1-1, Brooks drove towards the edge of the Chesterfield penalty box before unleashing a powerful low drive into the bottom corner of the net.
