Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Nouha Dicko has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal at the club.

The 24-year-old, who joined Wolves from Wigan Athletic in 2014, had only 18 months left on his original deal at Molineux.

Dicko missed the majority of the last season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in September 2015.

The Mali international returned to action last August and has featured 19 times for Paul Lambert's side, scoring two goals in the EFL Trophy.

"Of course, I'm really happy to extend my contract here - now I can really focus on my football," said Dicko, whose new deal keeps him at Wolves until the summer of 2020.

"When you're a player, it's always good to feel settled and feel comfortable, although I did still have a year on my contract.

"Obviously, I'm really delighted to extend my contract here and I'm glad the club showed great faith in me, I hope that I can pay them back on the pitch.
