Poland international midfielder Mateusz Klich is undergoing a medical at Leeds ahead of a permanent switch from FC Twente, according to Sky sources.
The clubs have agreed a deal for the 27-year-old, who enjoyed a successful season in the Eredivisie last year.
Klich joined Twente from German side Kaiserslautern last summer, and is understood to have been a name recommended to the Leeds hierarchy by former boss Garry Monk before Klich's move to the Netherlands.
Monk is now manager at Championship promotion rivals Middlesbrough, while Leeds appointed Thomas Christiansen as their new head coach last week.
Klich scored six goals in 29 appearances for Twente last season as the team finished seventh.
He began his career at Cracovia in Poland before a move to Wolfsburg in 2011. He was then sent out on loan to PEC Zwolle on two occasions before joining Kaiserslautern in 2015.
