Blackpool v Luton preview
Friday 21 September 2018 11:39, UK
Blackpool will have Marc Bola available for the Sky Bet League One clash with Luton.
The left-back was sent off at Plymouth last week but had his three-game ban overturned on appeal due to wrongful dismissal. Defender Donervon Daniels, who was also saw red at Home Park, misses out after his three-match suspension was upheld by the Football Association.
Seasiders captain Jimmy Ryan, who is yet to feature this season, is set to have an operation on his injured knee and will be out for another few months.
Luton will be without Eunan O'Kane at Bloomfield Road. The on-loan midfielder has returned to parent club Leeds after suffering a double leg fracture in last weekend's win over Bristol Rovers.
Hatters striker Danny Hylton, who has missed the last three league games, is unlikely to return from a hamstring problem, while midfielder Luke Berry (knee) is out. Goalkeeper Marek Stech (hernia) also remains sidelined.
Opta stats
After losing six straight league matches to Luton between 2003 and 2017, Blackpool have won one and drawn one of the last two meetings; the 2017 League Two play-offs.
At Bloomfield Road, Luton have won three of the last four matches including play-offs (L1), as many victories as in the previous 18 league visits.
Blackpool are currently enjoying a six-game unbeaten run in League One (W3 D3), their best such streak since last September (seven games).
Luton have won just one of their last 12 away league games (D7 L4) and are winless in six (D3 L3). The Hatters last went on a poorer such run in March 2015 (eight games).
Blackpool have scored seven of their eight goals in League One this season in the second half of their matches (88%), the highest ratio in the competition so far. Mark Cullen's 14th minute strike against Plymouth last time out was their first scored in the first half in 2018-19.
