Millionaire businessman Alan Bowers has given Leyton Orient until 9am tomorrow to complete a deal for his takeover.
An offer which could rise as high as £3.3m has been on the table for a week after former professional footballer Bowers met owner Francesco Becchetti.
Orient were relegated from League Two last month just three years after missing out on a place in the Championship when they lost a Wembley Play-Off final on penalties.
The club faces a winding up order in the High Court on June 12. In addition, their 11 contracted players are due back for pre-season training in a fortnight's time without a manager.
They're also engaged in a row with the owners of their training ground - which could see them using a local council playing field next season to prepare for games.
