Wycombe vs Gillingham preview
Thursday 21 February 2019 18:04, UK
Wycombe will be without captain Adam El-Abd for the visit of Gillingham on Saturday.
The 34-year-old defender was sent off late on in last weekend's defeat by Barnsley following an off-the-ball incident and must serve a three-match ban.
Anthony Stewart could make his first start since January 1 in El-Abd's place while Adebayo Akinfenwa, Nathan Tyson and Scott Kashket are all pushing for starts in the attacking positions. Luke Bolton was forced off just after the hour mark having suffered a worrying-looking head injury but fortunately it turned out to be nothing serious.
Billy Bingham could make an immediate return for the Gills. The midfielder was not risked for the midweek defeat at Sunderland after his ankle swelled up but is expected to be available for this match.
Leo Da Silva Lopes was forced off during the second half on Tuesday with a groin injury but is also expected to be fit while Josh Rees (hamstring) was due back in training on Thursday. West Brom loanee Tahvon Campbell will hope to be given a chance having only made one substitute appearance for the club so far.
