Rangers boss Mark Warburton not drawn on Michael O'Halloran links

Mark Warburton is still keen to add to his Rangers squad in the transfer window but refused to comment on reports linking the club with St Johnstone forward Michael O'Halloran.
The Gers manager has admitted he would like to add two or three more players before the window shuts on February 1 having already signed Harry Forrester and tied up pre-contract deals for Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks.
However, despite the links to O'Halloran, Warburton said it would be inappropriate to discuss players from other clubs.
"We are not talking about any other club's players, we'll go about our business, target the players we think are appropriate for Rangers," he said.
"If we get the business done then we will talk but it would be wrong to talk about any player at any individual club, that's for sure."
Asked if he could confirm any approach for O'Halloran, he added: "Not at all, far from it. I read in the papers but nothing has come from Rangers at all.
"I've scoured every paper and there has been nothing released by Rangers about any players so I read it with interest, I read the figures with interest but when we conclude our business then hopefully we can tell you appropriately then.
"There is a lot of stuff in the papers which is wrong, bizarre, we are linked to so many players but we'll do our talking when we finish any business but it would be wrong to talk about players before anything is concluded - that would be inappropriate."
Warburton also said he is in no rush to sell off Martyn Waghorn, who has scored 25 goals this season, with the striker linked with a move to the English Championship. However, he believes the Rangers fans should not be worried if clubs come sniffing around their players.
"There has been no interest in Martyn," he said. "I don't mean that to sound derogatory because I am delighted for him but there hasn't been any contact.
"It's a positive for our players to be linked with other clubs. The positive from that perceived negative is that the players are catching the eye for the right reasons."
Warburton said he would rather get his transfer business done early and compared the rush to sign new players late in the window to panic-buying a house.
"I think the longer you leave it, clubs on both sides of the equation make poor decisions," he said.
"I compare it to house buying, people panic into it and they do make poor decisions and wrong moves, so I'm a fan of getting the business done early, identifying early, opening contact and dialogue early and hopefully we can do the deal. I'd far rather get it done sooner rather than later."
Meanwhile, Rangers' Scottish Cup fifth-round tie against Kilmarnock at Ibrox will be shown live on Sky Sports on Saturday, February 6 at 12.30pm.
