SFA chief executive Stewart Regan said there are plenty of juicy ties for the fans after the fifth Round of the Scottish Cup was drawn on Monday

McCoist was relieved of his duties in December 2014 and put on gardening leave amid a backdrop of off-field turmoil.

The 53-year-old has only returned to Ibrox once since his departure, when he made a brief appearance at the AGM which eventually ousted the Mike Ashley-backed board.

His standing among the Gers support was arguably damaged when, even after Dave King had assumed control, he waited until last September to rip up his lucrative contract.

But Laudrup, who played alongside McCoist during a successful four-year spell at the club, is convinced he will be welcomed back by the majority of fans.
